My name is Mária Jakab, I’m an interior designer.

I offer my up-to-date knowledge to my prospective clients, whether it is for a full implementation or just a one-time consultation.

In my work, I place great emphasis on functionality, keeping in mind the importance of aesthetics, whether it is a simple home, a luxury apartment, an office, or a hospitality unit.

Advice before buying a real estate

Before purchasing a house or building plot, it is advisable to seek expert advice from an interior designer to assess whether the floor area is sufficient and suitable for your family’s needs. They can evaluate if it’s possible to optimize the layout, for example, by reducing circulation space and increasing storage areas. It’s ideal and cost-effective to involve an interior designer from the very beginning, during the planning phase of the project.

Complete interior design planning

Assessment of the prospective property, understanding the tastes and needs of the residents – in person. Creation of black-and-white sketches, floor plan layouts, final colored renderings, wall views, and consignment preparation. Procurement of finishes and furnishings together. Continuous consultation with construction professionals.

Creating digital renderings

Computer-generated visualization: perspective images and wall views of wet rooms. Furniture design focusing on functionality. Planning of finishes and layout.

On-site consultation

If you’re stuck with your interior design or simply need ideas, I visit your home in person and provide suggestions for colors, curtains, lighting, and other accessories.

Lighting design

Designing lighting that suits the functions of the apartment, planning the electrical system, placements and quantities of outlets and sockets. All in a style that matches the interior, aiming to avoid the need for retroactive wall penetrations and extra costs during the planning phase.

Preparing a specification or inventory

Sourcing and selecting furnishings and finishes that fit the given interior, searching in stores. Summarizing their placement and costs to save time and money. Processing the order.
